Rev. James Alison and Duncan Morrow will give a hour and a half presentation on René Girard's mimetic hypothesis and its pertinence to circumstances of political and religious clash starting at 11 a.m. in Winants Auditorium. All are welcome and the occasion is free.
James Alison is a Catholic minister, productive creator, and one of the preeminent religious mediators of Girard's mimetic hypothesis of society. Duncan Morrow is the Director of Community Engagement at the University of Ulster and has long experience applying Girard's work to peacemaking in Northern Ireland.
